My name is Ruben - a former Dutch competitive swimmer, and now a professional photographer with a great passion for superyachts.

 

My journey began in 2015 when I bought my first drone. I quickly became fascinated by aerial photography and spent most time trying out new angles and perspectives. In 2020, I photographed my very first superyacht; Stardust by Amels. From then on, I became fascinated by superyachts straight away.

 

After some time working on my portfolio, I was invited to join SuperYacht Times, the industry’s leading superyacht news publication, as their full-time photographer. Without any doubt I stepped aboard and created a wide range of content for them. Following an inspiring period with their team, I chose to focus on my own business again so I could share my creativity with companies across the superyacht industry.

 

Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with some of the most renowned shipyards and brands in the world, including Heesen Yachts, Damen Yachting, Mulder Shipyard, Balk Shipyard, Edmiston and Feadship. These partnerships have allowed me to document milestone launches, shipyard campaigns, and exclusive projects that demand the highest level of precision and creativity.

 

With years of experience behind the camera - combined with the determination I honed during my athletic career - I continuously strive to capture images that stand apart. Whether documenting milestone events during a yacht’s construction or creating lasting memories during a charter, I approach every assignment with precision, creativity, and an eye for exceptional detail.
